Sandy Beaches
Sprinkle, Squish between my toes
The smell of the looking out at the crystal clear blue waters
To my nose
I can feel each grain of sand,
It falls from air into my hand feeling the soft, drops against my skin
The shells I find along the shore,
Picked up by birds that fly and soar
Like kids reaching for their toys on the living room floor
They sparkle like the oceans waves
And carry sand from all the long, flowing lakes
I walk along the tip of the sea,
That’s where my feet leave
Prints to be
I walk all the way to the end
Of the landThe land that holds this beautiful sand

Hanging (object Poem)
Everyday you have something hanging on me
Heavy coats like an elephant
Heavy clothes like a textbook
I’m just tired of this
How about you be the hanger and I’ll hang on you
I’ll put my heavy
Bag on you and
Invite some friends
Of my friends so
They can hang some heavy clothes on you.
Heavy coats like an elephant
Heavy clothes like a textbook
I’m just tired of this
How about you be the hanger and I’ll hang on you
I’ll put my heavy
Bag on you and
Invite some friends
Of my friends so
They can hang some heavy clothes on you.

Favorite Line from "Flashy Words"
"Open your brain let your heart go.The real you has been locked inside your rib cage."
This is my favorite line because sometimes people loss themselves and they can't find themselves and they don't want to do anything and I just like how this sounds so this is why I like this line.

My Favorite Poem So Far
We have read lots of poems in class and they have all been great. One of my favorite poem from class is "Still I Rise."I like this poem because its really inspirational and many people can get and understand it. Like if someone does not like you and they are jealous you just don't care what they say and you're still gonna rise. I also like this poem because it tells everyone who cares about what people think about you. You know who you are and that's the only thing that matters.
